magne f withdrawal and other nonsense

Maybe silence always wins, but it's an awfully tedious bore for those of us on the receiving end ;-) So while the guys are doing their thing and making a-ha music magic happen, and therefore Magne is his 1/3 self instead of his normal 4/3 self (hey, it makes sense to me), our collective attention span could snap like a twig any day now. The beginning of the year was all visible promise and potential for the guys; the latter part of the year seems to be shaping up as an exercise in maintaining faith in hidden potential and so far no promise at all. Which only means we know very little but we're all absolutely sure there's some good stuff ahead, even if we haven't been told that by any reliable source LOL. Ever the optimist!

Anyway, not much going on. If you're in need of a small Magne fix, hop on over to the Flickr page and see some newly-submitted pictures. I dug this one up out of my old photo archives from Nottingham 2005:

ADOB still has high rotation on my iPod but it's getting nudged out lately by the new Keane album, which is all kinds of fabulous. Some of my favorite lyrics on the album resonate so much with me, I can't get them out of my head:

You take the pieces of the dreams that you had
'Cuz you don't like the way they seem to be going
You cut them up and spread them out on the floor
You're full of hope as you begin rearranging

All this reflects something I can relate to on a personal level, and very few songs have that effect on me, the most recent being MTGE. Maybe I need to branch out more, there are probably loads of artists writing stuff I can relate to, but in this day and age it is so hard to find good music without some kind of compass and a lot of energy!

Sorry to end on a semi-depressing note, but it's late and I was up almost all night last night. G'night :-)
