coming soon to the archive

Just looked back over some of my recent posts here, and most of them are pretty heavy so...check this stuff out! As you can see, I have a lot to add to my archive site, in addition to the past stuff I am still working through:

~ Full 'Beatles' movie trailer

~ Go, Lowell, Go!

~ Video report from the Soli Brug exhibition

~ 'Glass Onion' tapestry in Edinburgh

~ Art On Demand

~ XO Contemporary Cognac

And two pictures:

From Go with the Flø

From the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

And, not related to the archive, but something I found today via a Tweet from a Disney account I follow.

Winnie the Pooh singing 'Wherever you are' from the movie 'Pooh's Most Grand Adventure' - some of the lyrics remind me of 'Send My Star' a bit:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=op0C-iUrBtw

Come out moon, come out wishing star.
come out, come out, wherever you are

come out here in the dark, all alone and wide awake.
come and find me.
come and feel I'm cold
and my heart's about to break
come and find me

I need you to come here and find me
cos without you i'm totally lost
i hung a wish on every star
it hasn't done much good so far
i can only dream of you
wherever you are

i'll hear you laugh
i'll see you smile
i'll be with you
just for a while
but when the morning comes
and the sun begins to rise
i'll lose you
because it's just a dream
when i open up my eyes i will lose you

i used to believe in forever
but forever's too good to be true
i'm gonna wish on every star
it hasn't done much good so far.

i don't know what else to do
except to try to dream of you
and wonder if you're dreaming too
wherever you are.

Heartbreakingly beautiful, isn't it? Poor Pooh! Yet one more song about longing for someone with your whole heart, holding on to dreams when you can't hold your love/friend in your arms, and waking up lost without them. 'Send My Star' is upbeat and wonderfully sweet, but underneath it all it's the same kind of longing.
